Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive at Antananarivo

Upon arrival in Madagascar’s capital (Antananarivo), you will be picked up from the airport and transferred to your hotel in the city (approximately 2hrs). The remainder of the day is free for you to rest.

Day 2 - Antananarivo to Antsirabe 170km 5H

After breakfast, drive approximately 5 hours to Antsirabe .Explore Antsirabe town and its surroundings. Start with a pousse pousse tour (the Malagasy version of a rickshaw) to visit local craft workshops that are hard to find on your own. Then, hike or mountain bike around Lake Tritriva, a stunning emerald-green crater lake.

Day 3 - Antsirabe to Morondava 533KM 11-13H

After breakfast , the drive today takes you along another scenic, winding road through villages, rice paddies. As the road is in poor conditions and will slow you down significantly.

Day 4 - Morondava

After breakfast, we will take a canoe to the fishing village of Betania to visit the church, canoe workshops, and school, and interact with the local community. you can try the special seafood lunch. then head to Kimony resort, gain an in-depth understanding of infant lemur care, rewilding training, and participate in hands-on care for baby lemurs. In the afternoon, visit the famous Avenue of Baobabs for a spectacular sunset.

Day 5 - Morondava to Antananarivo 650 KM (MD703 1240-1350)

After breakfast, fly back to Antananarivo (Reference Flight: MD703 1240-1350), we will pick you up from the airport for an afternoon city tour. Explore the cultural highlights of the capital, including the Queen’s Palace, stroll downhill and visit the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Andohalo (exterior view only). In the evening, enjoy a sunset-inspired afternoon tea experience.

Day 6 - Antananarivo - Andasibe 145KM (5H+ Driving)

In the moning, depart from Antananarivo to east and drive to the Andasibe Rainforest for an adventure(about 5hrs), stop by Reserve Peyrieras  (duration:1.5hrs), you will find the unique reptiles of Madagascar, including the largest chameleons, butterflies, snakes, frogs, crocodiles, and more.In the evening, experience a guided night walk in the Andasibe rainforest to spot nocturnal wildlife, including small lemurs and endemic reptiles.

Day 7 - Andasibe- Antananarivo

After breakfast,proceed directly to the Vakona Private Reserve. Enjoy a guided visit to Lemur island for an up-close encounter and interaction with lemurs and take photo with them. then explore the Crocodile Valley for a pleasant walk observing some wildlife crocodiles, turtles, guinea fowl, geckos and chameleons.then track lemurs at Mitsinjo Reserve, You can watch Madagasar’s largest lemur-the Indri, along with many other endemic birds, plants, and wildlife. In the afternoon, drive back to Antananarivo(about 5hrs driving time)

Day 8 - Antananarivo - Departure

Check out after breakfast in the hotel, you can explore the capital’s old town if there is enough time, After the tour, transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
