Upon arrival in Madagascar’s capital, you will be picked up from the airport and transferred to your hotel in the city (approximately 45 minutes). The remainder of the day is free for you to rest.
Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar, is the country’s largest city and its political, economic, cultural, and transportation center. Located on a mountain ridge in the east-central part of the island, nestled on the slopes of twelve sacred mountains, it has an average altitude of 1300 meters and a tropical highland climate. The climate is cool and pleasant year-round, with an average annual temperature of 18°C. Antananarivo is a scenic city, once hailed as “one of the most picturesque national capitals in the world.” Flowers bloom year-round, and the city boasts diverse architectural styles, ranging from colonial-era French architecture to traditional brick buildings, as well as numerous other multicultural buildings and cityscapes. It is a city where Asian, African, and European styles converge, creating a unique and exotic atmosphere.

After breakfast, depart from Antananarivo (8:30 AM) and drive east to the Andasibe Rainforest for an adventure.
First stop: a chameleon adventure in the Reserve Peyrieras, You can Embark on a chameleon adventure, search for the “invisible” chameleon, and admire their adorable strolls.
Reserve Peyrieras :This reserve was established in the late 20th century by French entomologist and naturalist André Peyrieras, hence it is named “Peyrieras Reserve”. Here, over 20 species of chameleons live, including the largest king chameleon, the smallest micro chameleon, the king of camouflage the carpet chameleon, the chameleon sensitive to sound the elephant ear chameleon, and so on. You can also observe various geckos, lizards (leaf-tailed lizards, golden-backed lizards, etc.), insects, amphibians and frogs.
The second stop: In the evening, we will follow the guide to search for nocturnal lemurs, tree frogs and other nocturnal creatures in the Andasibe rainforest.
Andasibe is one of the five earliest established nature reserves in Madagascar and is also one of the most visited national parks. The complete tropical rainforest ecosystem provides an excellent habitat for a large number of rare animals and plants, including 11 species of lemurs (the most famous of which is the Indri lemur, the largest among all lemurs and the only short-tailed lemur, currently only found in this area and so far, there has never been a successful example of human captivity). The reserve is rich in species, including some rare and unique birds, amphibians, reptiles, such as chameleons, etc., which are also very fascinating.

After breakfast, we will head to Lemur Island(1.5H), where we will have the opportunity to take photos with lemurs in their semi-wild state, and visit Crocodile Valley (1 hour),You can see wild crocodiles, experience slippery trails and “dangerous” suspension bridges, bringing you a thrilling and exciting experience of exploring the primeval rainforest. Afterwards, we will travel to the Andasibe rainforest to track Indri Indri, the largest lemur in the wild (this species is not found on Lemur Island).
After the tour, we drove back to Antananarivo(about 5 driving hours).

After breakfast, check out then start the city tour, you can explore the capital’s old town, Visit Queen’s Palace/Historical Museum, etc., before transferring to the airport. Then drive to the airport according to your flight schedule.
Queen’s Palace is a landmark building in the capital Antananarivo and one of Madagascar’s most important historical and cultural sites.
